How many of you remember -- or ever saw -- Bernard Krebs' "Dear Pearl" letter? It was a 'final exam' that Mr. Krebs devised to let would-be transcribers test themselves. The document is in the form of a letter, but one which would more likely be called a conversation.  There are italics, dashes, misspellings, a whole host of traps.

Sue Douglass has 'found' this letter and has some ideas about how to make it a fun conference project. We don't know yet what she has in mind, but thought you might want to test yourself now, before conference, in the comfort of your own office, with your well-worn EBAE very handy.

Here is the document. Open and print it. Don't alter anything about it. Then take your best shot at transcribing it. Print and save your braille file. Bring both with you to conference. Since we don't know what Sue has planned, you might want to bring your EBAE, too.

If you are not going to be at conference, watch this site for the 'answer' after conference.

Good luck!
